1. The desk and Chair
Make sure that the desk is big enough for you to keep your essentials
Choose a colour which is right for you; I personally prefer white desks.
Sturdy enough to support the weight of your stuff
Chair- Comfy enough but not too much.
2. Location and Lighting
Position your desk in such a way that you get proper lighting.
Or use a study lamp(Stay tuned for the study essentials blog to find out which Lamp I use)
Have switches and connections nearby to plug your devices.
Now the actual set up
Have minimal stationary on your desk- This depends on the size of your desk.
Always have a bottle of water on your desk
Don’t have too many devices on your desk, this can increase your stimulus which can result in loss of focus.
If you like to munch on something while studying, keep a small container of dry fruits, gum etc on your desk.
Aesthetics
Arrange your stationary well
Keep a candle(this can also help with focus)
Desk clock
A small soft toy or keychain
Keep in mind
Have a designated place where you study so that your brain subconsciously knows that at your desk you have to study.
Don’t have your phone nearby
Avoid over-decorating it.
Empty and sanitize your desk at the end of the day to keep it nice and clean.
And lastly it’s your study space so organize it according to you and have fun with it.
